Bicycle House 

Projected by the Çanakkale Bicycle Platform and implemented by the Municipality of Çanakkale, the Bicycle House is one of the finest examples of public-civil society cooperation. Located at the intersection of the central district and Kepez, in the heart of the city, this special venue is an exemplary meeting point that brings together sustainable transportation culture and a sense of recreation.

With a 135 m² indoor area featuring modern architecture, our Bicycle House serves both local cycling enthusiasts and international bicycle travelers with its modern infrastructure.

Open to everyone every day from 08:30 to 00:00, our Bicycle House features a bicycle library, a television area where races, documentaries, and films are watched, as well as restroom facilities.

Designed with a modern and functional approach, our Bicycle House building includes the following areas to meet all the needs of our visitors:

Bicycle House Administrative Office

This is the center where all administrative processes of public interest are carried out to spread bicycle culture in our city and support sustainable bicycle-backed transportation. Our center performs registration procedures for bicycle travelers, provides usage information for the Bicycle House and Bicycle Living Park, and offers visitors alternative bicycle routes suitable for Çanakkale's historical, natural, and geographical richness. Additionally, managing the registration processes of the Bicycle Academy and planning basic, intermediate, and advanced cycling training, our office also handles the reservation and coordination of social activities such as information sessions, visits, workshops, meetings, and talks held within the facility with corporate precision.

Accommodation and Room Features

Designed to international standards, our accommodation area can host a total of 8 bicycle travelers simultaneously (4 women and 4 men) using a bunk bed system.

📌 Rule: Per our regulations, only bicycle travelers who arrive in Çanakkale by riding their bikes can stay at the Bicycle House.

• High Security: Encrypted locking systems are integrated into room entrances and personalized lockers.

• Home-Comfort Hygiene: There is a laundry room featuring washing and drying machines for our visitors. Our rooms include a hair dryer each, as well as a public WC and a dedicated shower area for bicycle travelers.

• Work and Living Area: Our rooms feature a desk and chair suitable for our guests. This area is designed as a functional work environment for comfortable working, editing video projects, and uninterrupted video calls.

• Climate Control and Comfort: Our rooms are equipped with windows featuring mosquito nets and Venetian blind systems. Additionally, air conditioners providing heating and cooling are available in each room to maintain the ideal indoor temperature.

• Bridge of Respect to History: Our accommodation rooms take their names from the Trojan legend, designated as "Paris" and "Helen". These names make a meaningful allusion to Çanakkale's deep-rooted history and tragedies spanning thousands of years. Travelers coming from all over the world to stay at our center fill their saddlebags with our city's historical and geographical riches upon departure, becoming voluntary cultural ambassadors.

The great storm that raged before the walls of Troy has settled. Now, these lands hold only the sound of pedals and the peace of nature. War, chaos, and passion's greatest symbols, Paris and Helen, find new life in the Bicycle House as the names of "renewal" and "tranquility."

Security and Social Areas

• 24/7 Uninterrupted Security: Safety is ensured at the highest level with advanced security cameras positioned to cover every point of the park and facility.

• Secure Bicycle Park: At the rear of the building, there is a covered and high-security private bicycle parking area protected from weather conditions.

• Social Area & Library: Major bicycle races and events can be followed on the television in the common area. Additionally, a comprehensive city library containing books on cycling and Çanakkale's historical, natural, and geographical beauties is open to visitors.
